#12 - DAY 1 - Snake River Standoff PRS

After a rough day one of shooting in some high winds (the windmills in the vicinity should have been a clue) the boys regroup in their air bnb to discuss lessons learned and how they plan to approach day 2.

#11 - Snake River Standoff - Check in Day

In the first of this 3 part series, Zack and Jared travel to Idaho with Seth McAnally and Brent Wood to shoot the Snake River Standoff which is a 2 day national Precision Rifle Series Match. The boys share some of their goals for the match, what they're looking forward to and their key pieces of gear that they believe will help them be successful in the match.

#10 - Hunting Rifle Progression with Jared and Zack

Zack and Jared discuss their history with hunting rifles. They go through progression from the early days and what they learned, to how they've arrived at their present day hunting whips. They talk finding purpose in your gear and that it really doesn't matter too much if you can put a bullet in the vitals!

#9 - Lyle Hebel

Lyle invites Jared over to his shop for a fun discussion covering topics from branding for companies, how to lead a team, art and hunting, to his new role at MtnTough. Lyle shares some tips on how he's helped to successfully build some of the major brands in the hunting space and beyond.

#8 - Spring Update w/Zack and Jared

Zack and Jared sit down in front of a thawing drift boat as they prepare for their first float of the season. The boys cover what they've been up to lately, the PRS match they plan to shoot, fishing plans for spring and they have a good discussion on storytelling with a camera. They also received their tooth age data back from all the critters they killed last season which leads into a fun discussion as they recount the story of a bull Zack shot with Jared's rifle a few years ago.

#7 - Leica Optics w/Hamilton Boykin

Zack and Jared meet up with Hamilton Boykin and Ryan Holm of Leica Optics at the Western Hunt Expo for an in depth dive on Leica's product line. The guys cover rangefinding binos, spotting scope, rifle scopes and a new line of thermal handheld and clip on scopes.

#6 - Seth McAnally

Seth McAnally joins us fresh off winning the first ever Montana Wild Shootout in Three Forks Montana. Jared and Seth cover topics ranging from shooting and match directing precision rifle matches to the steep learning curve of archery elk hunting. The guys also cover the archery elk hunt they did together in the Breaks of Montana this past year. Jet boats, long miles and 95 degree days all played a role in the awesome adventure they shared.

#5 - Jed Wood

Jed Wood comes by the garage to give us a chance to extract some of his secrets to killing giants. Big mule, elk, antelope and bears have hit the ground from one of Jed's arrows or bullets. He humbly owns a photo gallery that would make the most seasoned hunters jealous, and he's only in his twenties. Listen in as we try to figure out his secrets to success.

Wildlife cinematographer Dominic Oakes sits down with Zack and talks shop. Dom has spent years filming and photographing wildlife from Grizzly bears and Mountain lions in Montana to South American Pumas and more. We talk about the life of being a wildlife photographer, the crazy adventures, and tips on making the most of a life with a camera.

On this episode Zack and Travis Boughton go back in history and talk about why Montana Wild stopped and all the good, the bad, and the ugly from years of making films and growing the brand.
